Sometimes a hotel is so relaxing that you simply stop wanting to explore. That was exactly our experience at Meliá Danang Beach Resort.
We spent three nights here and, honestly, barely stepped out of the resort. Set right on Non Nuoc Beach, Meliá Danang feels like a proper 5-star escape without the price tag you might expect from a luxury beachfront resort. The combination of the setting, service, facilities and overall value made this one of our favourite stays in Vietnam.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to The Level, which made the experience even more special. Our room overlooked the pool and was the perfect place to wake up to a slow, tropical morning. And those mornings were something else. We caught some absolutely incredible sunrises, with the sky changing colours over the sea and the beach stretching out in front of us. These were genuinely views to die for—the kind that make getting up early completely worth it.
The resort has multiple swimming pools, with even more options available to The Level guests. Our favourite was the infinity pool, where we spent long, lazy afternoons with a drink, soaking in the views and enjoying the fact that we had absolutely nowhere to be. And that really became the theme of our stay: doing absolutely nothing, and loving it.
We spent our mornings walking along the beach, afternoons by the pool and even found time for a spa session. We were offered a complimentary 15-minute massage, but since we were celebrating our anniversary, we decided to go for a full-fledged treatment instead. And the best part? The spa was surprisingly reasonably priced for a 5-star resort, making it very easy to indulge.
Food was another highlight. The breakfast spread was amazing, and we ended up having almost all our meals at the hotel. From prawn spring rolls and chicken rice to drinks by the pool, there was enough variety to keep us happily eating our way through the three days. Everything about the experience encouraged us to slow down and enjoy the resort rather than constantly look for somewhere else to go.
And then there was the hospitality. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. From our upgrade to The Level to the little touches throughout our visit, the service made the experience feel truly 5-star.
Meliá Danang turned out to be exactly the kind of getaway we needed—a beautiful beach, incredible sunrises, multiple pools, relaxing spa treatments, great food and drinks, and the luxury of simply slowing down.
Three nights. Barely left the resort. And honestly, we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
