Pixi Peel & Polish | The Secret to Glowing Skin

Pixi Peel & Polish | The Secret to Glowing Skin

Dear Pixi… how you have my heart! ❤️ My love affair with PixiBeauty began the very first time I used a sample of the Pixi Peel & Polish… it’s been a year almost that I’ve been using it and this is the one mask that I swear by and recommend to almost everyone 🙂

If I had to describe this treatment, I would say it is the Secret to Glowing Skin in a tube! This is my go-to mask on days when my skin is feeling dull and tired, when I can see clogged pores and feel uneven texture on my skin.

Pixi describes the Peel & Polish as a radiance revealing enzyme peel that helps to give you healthy, softer, glowing skin in just 2 minutes. The key ingredients in this formula are natural fruit enzymes (orange, papaya, etc.) that help to loosen up dead skin cells and improve the skin’s texture, Sugar cane extracts that give it that gritty texture and helps to polish the skin and give it that glow, Lactic acid that helps to gently exfoliate the skin and lastly Cellulose peel to lift off any dead skin and reveal smoother, brighter skin.

My Experience with Pixi Peel & Polish

Like I said before, it was love at get go 🙂 The very first time I used this mask, I could see INSTANT results … my skin not only looked brighter, it also felt smoother and looked luminous, almost like I had applied highlighter on my cheeks and nose!

Soon after I had used up my 15ml sample (which btw lasted me a good 6-8 uses), I went ahead and bought the full size tube, which is 80ml (2.71 fl. oz).

I love the pretty pink tube packaging with the green cap. It’s so easy to dispense the right amount of product while applying the mask and also, the tube packaging is so travel friendly.

The mask itself is a peachy-pink colour and I think that comes from the papaya enzyme and the red clay. it spreads easily and evenly and you’ll notice that it has tiny granules which feel gritty as you apply the mask – these are the cellulose that will help to polish the skin and lift off any dead skin cells and debris. Personally, I quite like the gritty texture and don’t find it harsh by any means. It is also worth mentioning here that the Pixi Peel & Polish is not a scent-free product, I can’t quite describe the smell, but it’s not unpleasant and doesn’t irritate me at all.

The outer cardboard packaging says 6% Lactic acid and Papaya, so this essentially is a salon grade/professional peel that you can do in the comfort of your own home.. but don’t let those words scare you, it’s completely safe to use at home. If you are someone who is very new to peels and enzymes, then maybe use this just once a week and keep it on your skin for no more than 2 minutes. However, for someone like me, who’s skin loves chemical peels and treatments, I still use this once a week, but keep in on my skin for about 5-10 minutes to work it’s magic. I then wet my fingers and gently scrub my skin before washing the mask off with water.

My skin ALWAYS feel brand new afterwards! It looks fresher and brighter, feels smoother and my makeup applies so much better on the days that follow this treatment. One thing I’d like to stress on is that since this this product contains AHA, please use a good sunscreen on the days after you use this product.

Bottom line, I LOVE this mask and highly recommend you try it out if you’re in the market for a product that gives you professional grade peels at home! Pixi Peel & Polish is the best resurfacing product I’ve ever used and an HG for me 🙂

PIXI is now available in India (hurray!) and you can find them at SEPHORA stores all across the country. Pixi is a cruelty-free brand (love them for this) and the Pixi Peel & Polish is also paraben free.
