Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask Review and Should You Buy It

Laneige, as a brand, has my heart and trust! If you have followed my blog for a while, you will know that they were the first KBeauty brand I tried and till date it is the brand I recommend the most πŸ™‚ Today’s post is the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask Review.

A good chunk of my readers come to the blog to see my review of the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask and see if the hype is real… so I thought of trying out more products from this range and reviewing for you guys.

Today I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts on the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask and telling you whether or not you should be investing your money in it. So let’s get straight into the review πŸ™‚

To give you a little background on my skin type – I have dry, dehydrated and acne-prone skin. The area under and around my eyes is quite dry and as I’m ageing (currently 35) I can see fine lines and crow’s feet in the corner of my eyes. I have tried and tested dozens of eye creams over the years and honestly, I haven’t found one that wows me. Some are too thick, some too runny, some sting my eyes and some gave me milia.

After a lot of trial and error, I bought the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask and I’m happy to report that after 6 months of regular use, I’m very happy with this product πŸ™‚

Here’s what Laneige has to say about the Eye Sleeping Mask – “Smart eye sleeping mask takes care of puffy eyes. The eye sleeping mask moisturizes, revitalizes, and brightens skin around the eyes by taking care of puffy eyes with the ceramic ball massage.”

Packaging

As you can see, the product is housed in a beautiful frosted glass bottle that comes with a blue plastic twist cap. There is also a separate applicator in the packaging which has a ceramic ball at the end. This cooling ceramic ball is the highlight of the product packaging as it rotates 180 degrees and allows you to massage and roll the eye sleeping mask around your eyes for relaxation and de-puffing.

There is 25ml of product, so you get a lot for your money’s worth here because this eye sleeping mask will last you a very long time even if you use it daily. The packaging feels really sturdy and luxurious.

Personally, I don’t always use the ceramic ball applicator to massage the mask around my eyes… I find it very unhygienic to place the applicator back into the bottle, so I take a little product on my ring finger and use my Skin & Rituals Rose Quartz Roller to massage the product around my eyes.

Having said that, if you are someone who wishes to use the ceramic ball applicator – I would recommend you wipe off any excess/left over product on the ceramic ball applicator on a tissue after each use. This way you reduce the chances of contaminating the bottle πŸ™‚

Texture and Smell

Similar to the Water Sleeping Mask, the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask also has a gel texture. I personally feel they got the texture just right – it’s not too thick, nor too runny. It soaks into the skin rather quickly and feels very light. I have very sensitive eyes and I’m happy to report, this never stings or burns my eyes πŸ™‚

As for scent, it has a very calming and mild lavender scent. I really enjoy that soothing scent. If you are someone who gets bothered by scents in skincare, the scent in this eye sleeping mask disappears within 5-10 seconds after application.

How To Use

Use the ceramic roller ball to apply the product under the eyes and roll in circular motions to massage your eye area for a few seconds to a minute. Leave it overnight and rinse off in the morning. You can use this Eye Sleeping Mask every day.

Like I mentioned before, I usually take a small amount of the product on my ring finger and use my rose quartz roller to massage it around my eyes.

Let’s have a look at the Ingredients before I share my final thoughts:

After 6 months of using this eye sleeping mask, I can say I truly enjoy using this product and would 100% recommend it.

I love how hydrated my under eyes feel the following morning aster I’ve used it and I can definitely see the fine lines reducing because the skin around my eyes is well hydrated and plump.  I use the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask as the first step in my skincare routine, so straight after I cleanse and dry my face. I store this product in the fridge and it feels so refreshing and cooling on the skin … it wakes me up and de-puffs my eyes when I use it in the morning and feels so relaxing and soothing when I use it after a long day at night. Also, it  locks in all the moisture, so I go ahead and layer a moisturising cream over the top.

The eye sleeping mask is not tacky or sticky at all and I think it will be a great product for all skin types – even oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin types.

The key ingredients in the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask are caffeine, Oligosaccharides and vitamin P Hesperidin (which helps in reducing puffiness around the eyes) chenopodium quinoa seed extract (which helps nourish and hydrate) and saccharomyces cerevisiae extract and beta-gluan (which helps to brighten up the skin).

On days when I’m stressed and my under-eyes are feeling parched, this sleeping mask delivers intense moisture and relief to my stressed skin. The light lavender scent really helps to relax and calm the senses.

To end this review I’ll just say that I  adore the Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask and would 100% recommend you try it out πŸ™‚
