Where to Stay in Frankfurt – 25hours Hotel The Trip | Review

Trendy, hip, cool, quirky … I think that’s the best way to describe 25hours Hotels, a boutique arm of the Accor group.

The theme of this hotel is ‘around the world in a day’ and the people who designed this hotel have made sure that the minute you step into this hotel, you are transported into a completely different visual world! Each floor of the 25hours Hotel The Trip has a different theme – Tropics, Mountains, Artic and every corner you turn has a story to tell! To me, this place screams adventure and fun 🙂

The check-in process was a breeze – the staff at the reception was friendly and made sure we knew everything about the hotel, right from the breakfast area to all the other facilities around the hotel. The room we stayed at had a Mountain theme with a very comfortable queen size bed. The decor is really colourful and eye catching. I loved the bed side tables and the touch of rustic vibe they added to the room. Even the charging sockets beside the bed have USB ports in them…so clever! 🙂

The bathroom, though small, was impeccably clean and very well stocked with big bottles of shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. I’d like to mention here that the 25hours Hotels contributes towards the Nepal Water Project as a part of their social responsibility. This was also one of the biggest things that stood out to me about this chain. A portion from each booking made online on 25hours-hotels.com goes directly towards supporting this project. If I’m not mistaken, the most recent project is called WASH – short for water, art, sanitation & hygiene. So the one constant theme you will see in the bathrooms at the 25hours hotels is  water conservation with all bottles saying ‘stop the water while using me’… great reminder for people who forget to close the tap while showering or even brushing their teeth!

The room also has plenty of space to keep your luggage and hang your clothes. There’s a good size desk area in the room with cute stationery materials like pens and paper. There’s even an old-school dial phone and a JBL Bluetooth speaker. Another plus is the free Wi-Fi (great speed!). You can get a Schindelhauer Bike for rent at the lobby and not just that, 25hours hotels have a cooperation with MINI and you can get a car FREE OF CHARGE – just choose the option while booking your room or ask at the reception while checking in.

Next, I would like talk about the location- the good and not-so-good side of it. The good part is that the 25hours Hotel The Trip is located right beside the central station, which means that you are very well connected to all the sightseeing places not just around the city but also to the nearby areas which can be covered as day trips. The not-so-good side is that the area is notorious for having druggies and homeless people. Did we face any issues? Well, no… and that’s because we were careful at all times. We honestly feel that no matter where you are in the world, it’s always a good idea to be careful and we made sure we returned to the hotel at a decent hour. So if that’s something that is holding you back from staying at this hotel, know that it’s a well policed area and you’ll have a great, safe stay 🙂

The hotel also offers some amazing options for food and drinks. The restaurant, Bar Shuka offers a middle eastern delight and was always quite packed during the night. Even though we didn’t have lunch or dinner at Bar Shuka but we loved having breakfast here. The buffet breakfast spread was amazing, our favourite was the croissants, mini pretzels, the different kinds of cheese, the sausages and the hummus. There’s also Caffe Bomba right at the entrance in the lobby and the coffee there is just perrrrfect!

Apart from that, the hotel also has a lot of open spaces to relax – a terrace and a courtyard, which we really liked for its artistic and very chic style. Even the lobby inside is so colourful and fun!

All in all, we had an amazing stay at the 25hours Hotel The Trip and we highly recommend checking them out if you’re ever visiting Frankfurt. The staff is courteous and always willing to help, plus they speak in English, so communicating is a breeze!
