If there’s one French skincare brand that I have been dying to try out all these years, it is Caudalie and I finally managed to get my hands on some of my favourite items… the first being the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask!
For those of you that have been following me on Instagram for a while will know that I’ve struggled with acne and so the number 1 concern for me is clogged pores, congested skin and uneven skin, so it’s no surprise that the first product I reached for was a mask that said the words INSTANT DETOX on it!
I mean who doesn’t want glowy, smooth skin?! The Caudalie Instant Detox Mask helps to minimise pore size, draw out all the excess sebum from the skin and also helps to remove blackheads. The key ingredients in this mask are Pink Clay (I’m assuming that’s where the colour of the mask comes from), Coffee and Grape Marc…all of which powerfully detoxify your skin. It also has the goodness of Papaya enzymes (one of my favourite ingredients!) that helps to brighten and invigorate the complexion. Some additional ingredients are organic sage and lavender essential oils that help to fight bacteria and reduce chances of breakouts.

My Experience with the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask
Let’s just start off by saying – it was love at first use. I adore everything about this mask, right from the packaging to the texture and how it makes my skin feel afterwards.
The packaging is simple, yet so stunning. I love the green tube with the wooden cap. It’s travel friendly and the small 15ml size that I have is perfect for when you’re travelling.
The texture is creamy and the mask itself is light pink in colour. I use this mask once a week … I like to steam my face for about 3-5 minutes to open pores before applying the mask and then apply a thin layer on my face and neck. You don’t need much as the mask spreads really nicely. Within 8-10 minutes it starts to dry, but even though it’s essentially a clay mask, it’s nowhere as drying or uncomfortable as some of the others I use. I keep it on for about 15 minutes and then use a muslin cloth to wipe it away before my splashing my face with some water.
Trust me when I say this, the results are instant! Every time I use this mask, my skin feels smooth and clear. I’ve also noticed that if there is a pimple under the skin, this mask helps to bring it to the surface. So this is one of the masks that I love to use when my skin is feeling congested and I can feel pimples underneath my skin.
You can either use it all over the face or also as just a spot treatment, it works well both ways. Another thing worth mentioning is that the Caudalie Instant Detox Mask is clinically and dermatologically tested, contains 98% natural ingredients and is free of mineral oils, parabens, phthalates, phenoxyethanol or any animal-derived ingredient. It is also vegan and cruelty free.
I highly recommend this mask to everyone! Especially those of you who have dull uneven skin, clogged pores and uneven texture. It is suitable for ALL skin types, so even if you have sensitive skin, this is a great mask for you to try out. Have you tried any Caudalie Masks? Let me know which one is your favourite!
