With only a day to explore the culturally rich city of Cologne we decided to leave Frankfurt a bit early and reached Cologne way before our check in time at the 25hours The Circle but that didn’t turn out to be a problem at all as the warm and welcoming staff of the hotel provided us with an early check in.
While the hotel was getting our room ready, we waited in the lobby area for about 45 minutes, but it didn’t feel like more than a few minutes because the lobby is so interesting that you will never know how or when the time just passed by. It’s like a mini museum of retro-futuristic stuff mixed with some ultra cool spaces to work or relax.

We were already in love with this hotel! What we love most about the chain is how all their hotels have a similar quirk to them but at the same time none of the hotels have any sort of a generic design. So, we were always excited to know and see what the next 25Hours Hotel had in store to offer.
The only two things which remain constant is their drive to conserve water under their Nepal water Project and the fact that you can borrow bikes free of cost from the reception to explore the city on two wheels. And off course, if you tell them in advance you can also take a Mini cooper for a spin!
We loved our room – it was airy, spacious and had a great view of the Cologne Tower. As soon as you enter the room, there’s a large space with shelves to keep all your luggage and there’s also a small desk area. You can check out the room tour on my Instagram under the Cologne highlights.
The king size bed in our room was so incredibly comfortable, we actually had a very peaceful night’s sleep 🙂
Coming on to the bathroom, I am personally not a big fan of open bathrooms, but here it was so well integrated in the room that you can’t imagine it any other way. Although I can’t stop wondering how a family with kids would put up with this. There’s a big mirror above the sink with lights, so perfect for doing your skincare and makeup… it was one of my favourite things about this room!
I loved how the ceiling was not completely done up and gave a very interesting industrial look to the room…the plants in bathroom and all around the room are such an amazing addition …it’s the things like these which gives that “almost home” feel to this hotel. There’s tons of space to hang your coats and jackets after coming back to the hotel after a long day of exploring the city and I really liked that too. Another very interesting feature which I noticed was that the room had a floor warming feature, pretty fancy I say! 🙂
The hotel also has a great restaurant and a bar at the 8th Floor with spectacular views of the city. We had our breakfast the following day at NENI and just loved it. The spread was magnificent, we particularly liked the freshly cooked Potato Rosti and the cheese selection, and off course the coffee was perfect.
We loved the location of the hotel, it sits on a unique historical circular building, hence the name 25Hours the Circle. Though it is not in the heart of the city, but it is well connected by the metro, only 2 stops away from the main train station.
All in all, we loved our stay at the 25hours The Circle and would definitely stay here again. It was a solid 5 star in our books! We would also like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to 25hours Hotels for our wonderful stay. The hand-written note from their team made us feel that extra bit special and welcomed ❤️
Needless to say, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you check out this property and book a stay with 25hours The Circle if you’re in Cologne for business or holiday 🙂
