5 Ways to Lose Weight with Aloe Vera

Today’s post is a continuation of my last Aloe Vera post that talks about 4 Ways Aloe Vera Benefits Your Health and Aids Weight Loss.

If all the information in the last article has made you want to consume Aloe Vera for shedding weight, but you have no clue on how or where to start, then this article is for you as we will share 5 ways to Lose Weight with Aloe Vera in a healthy manner…so let’s get started!

1. Plain Aloe Gel

Aloe Vera gel is a great place to start. All you need to do is take a fresh leaf of Aloe Vera and do as follows:

  • Rinse the leaf thoroughly with water to clean it. Next, use a knife to cut the leaf lengthwise and remove the upper layer and thorny sides of the aloe leaf.
  • Use a spoon or butter knife to scoop out the aloe gel

Once you have the aloe gel, you can use this in a number of ways – consume 1 tablespoon everyday mixed in with water or mix a tablespoon of the gel in a glass of fruit juice to make it taste better.

2. Aloe Juice

Give your energy levels and digestive system a boost by consuming aloe juice before breakfast every morning. Here’s what you will need:

  • 2-3 fresh and plump Aloe Vera leaves. Rinse them thoroughly with water to clean any dust or impurity.
  • Use a knife to cut the leaves along the length. Remove the upper layer and thorny sides of the aloe leaf.
  • Using a spoon or butter-knife, carefully scoop out all the gel from the leaves.
  • Throw the gel into a blender and grind till it turns into a thin juice.
  • Strain the juice into a jar.

Once you have the aloe vera juice, you can, once again, consume it in a number of different ways depending on your preference. I’ll be posting a couple of recipes in the coming days, so stay tuned! 🙂

3. Aloe Vera Smoothie

Smoothies are such lip-smacking drinks and incorporating Aloe vera into the mix is a genius idea! So what are you waiting for …include the goodness of the magical Aloe into your diet with smoothie recipes…once again, would you like me to post some recipes for you?! Let me know in the comments 🙂

4. Aloe Vera in Crystal Form

You can either buy aloe vera crystals or you can make them on your own using aloe gel. Aloe Vera Crystals help in controlling high blood sugar level and candida. It also enhances live enzymes and nutrients in the body. Studies show that regular use of aloe vera crystals helps to reduce allergies and helps regulate digestion.

It is recommended that you start by taking 2-4 ounces of aloe vera crystals and limit it to 3-4 times in a day. Once your body adapts to it, you can gradually increase the daily consumption as per your needs.

There’s a number of ways in which you can add aloe crystals to your diet – drink it in plain water, add to a glass of lemon water or juice, or add a few crystals into a fruit smoothie. One thing to remember when consuming aloe vera crystals is that you should drink it before your meals.

5. Aloe Vera Supplements

This is a ninja tip for those of you who don’t have an aloe vera plant in the house or those that are constantly travelling. Of course, fresh is always best, but if you are on-the-go and don’t have much time, then aloe vera supplements are your best bet.

This is so convenient for when you are travelling or on a holiday or if you are just lazy and can’t be bothered with cutting and peeling and scooping the gel from an aloe leaf! We recommend you choose Aloe Vera tablets that offer a unique blend of quality Aloe Vera and other botanical extracts.

Remember, aloe vera can only complement a weight loss regimen and so you must always follow it with a balanced diet and regular exercise. Try and incorporate low-fat food in your everyday diet, add more fresh fruits, salads, vegetables and lean meats, while avoiding all processed foods, soft drinks and refined flours.
