Our Favourite Instagrammable Spots in Sydney

Our Favourite Instagrammable Spots in Sydney

There is no other way to put it – Sydney, is the most photogenic city we have ever visited. Home to some marvellous architectural wonders, dreamy lighthouses, dramatic sea side views and abundance of natural beauty, Sydney is a photographer’s delight!

There are possibly hundreds of great photography spots in this magnificent city, but today we are going to share with you some of our favourite Instragrammable Spots in Sydney.

1. Macquire’s Chair at the Royal Botanic Gardens

One of the best vantage point to soak up the incredible views of Sydney’s amazing Skyline. Even though hundreds of photographer’s gather here every day, especially during sunset, there is enough space for everyone to set up their tripod.

Tip – If you’re headed here to capture some sunset shots and want to walk through the Botanical Garden, we recommend exploring the garden in the earlier hours as the gates to the garden shut at 5:30pm every evening. The day we visited, we waited till after sunset to head to the Botanical Garden and the gates were shut 🙁

2. Opera Kitchen

We visited Opera Kitchen twice during our stay and loved the vibe. It is usually buzzing in the evening, so a great place to enjoy some drinks and a wonderful view.

3. Luna Park

The retro amusement park is not just for kids. It’s a great place to give yourself a bit of an adrenaline rush old school style!

We loved the viewing platform that overlooks the Harbour Bridge and the Opera house and remember spending hours here…the view is incredible 🙂

4. Jeffery Street Ferry Terminal

Another cool spot at Milsons point to enjoy the views and perhaps a little afternoon picnic 🙂

5. Watsons Bay and the Hornby Light House

This is the perfect weekend getaway for the locals as it is just a short ferry ride away from Circular Quay. Apart from the beautiful beach scene, Watsons Bay offers some amazing vistas and is also home to a very picturesque and insta-worthy lighthouse.

6. Bondi Iceberg

We loved the vibe at Bondi… quirky graffiti on the walls, skaters and surfer’s honing their skills and an infinity pool located literally on the shore of the beach with the waves often hitting the pool makes it a jaw dropping spectacle.

7. The Rocks

Home to Australia’s oldest pubs and some really cosy cafes, this historic precinct offers some great views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

8. Coca Cola Sign near King’s Cross Station

The sign board from the 70’s (with upgrades over the years) is somewhat of a local landmark and is perfect for street style photography.

9. Hyde Park

Named after its namesake in London this beautiful park offers lovely green pastures to stroll around and some impressive architecture like the St. Mary’s Cathedral.

10. Cahil Expressway

This spot is somewhat of a hidden gem 🙂 We went here late at night and there wasn’t a single soul present there! It was kind of amazing to have the entire place to ourselves. We would recommend going here at least once – even if you are not into photography… because we honestly think this is the perfect place to just soak in the view of this beautiful city.
