Our idea of a perfect long weekend getaway is to unwind at a great beach side resort, sip on some refreshing coconut water, enjoy delicious food and get lovely massages that make the soul happy!
We recently visited Amari Pattaya on a long weekend and had the most incredible stay, so if you are planning for such a long weekend then we highly recommend you consider staying at this property… read on to find out about our experience!
It took us around one and a half hours to get to Amari Pattaya from Bangkok’s Suvarnbhoomi International airport. It was a smooth ride and the check in was an absolute breeze. What we couldn’t help notice was a cute check in counter made separately for little kids at the reception. It didn’t take us too long to realise that Amari Pattaya indeed takes special care of their little guests… from an amazing pool side water park to a kid’s club with lots of fun activities on the planner all week long, but what really pulled the rug off our feet was the first of its kind, a Kid’s Spa. Yes, Amari Pattaya lets you give your kids a taste of pure luxury and relaxation with some great fun.
Coming back to our stay – we were staying at the Deluxe Ocean View Room at the Amari Tower and it was one of the comfiest room we have ever stayed in. The pillows were so soft and fluffy… I wanted to ask them where I could find the same pillows for my home! There’s also a comfy seating area alongside a desk area. The room offers a partial view of the ocean, the hotel pools, a few high-rise buildings and we could even see The Sanctuary of Truth at a distance from our balcony.
The bathroom was impeccably clean and had a mighty big bath tub, two sinks (I love this concept of having two sinks) and the shower cubicle had an incredible rain shower. The toiletries were from the hotel’s own Spa brand, Breeze and they smelt divine.
The food scene here is excellent too – on our first day we had lunch at the Amaya Food Gallery and the chef prepared mouthwatering Thai Signature dishes for us, which I must say are an absolute must-try. Some of the dishes, for instance, Miang Kham, was something we had never tried or even heard of before- it was so flavourful and punchy that it immediately stimulated our appetite and made us extra hungry, which was great because there was just so much food to try 🙂
The restaurant also has a wide selection of Indian dishes, so if you’re Indian, you’ll feel right at home here. The next morning, we tried the breakfast spread at Amaya Food Gallery and were simply amazed by the spread- we had a little bit of everything from essential Continental to flavourful Indian and from mainland Chinese to authentic Thai.
Another wonderful area is the Executive Lounge. We enjoyed evening refreshments and for our concluding day we had breakfast here with some brilliant views of the ocean… The views from the windows are to die for!
The Aqua Eatery & Bar has a perfect setting to enjoy some great cocktails over a sundowner after having a fun time at the pool. There are some great happy hours offers also, make sure to check that out.
The property is huge and has spacious Ballroom and Beach lawns, perfect setting for events and destination weddings.
Apart from the Amari Tower the property has a separate building known as The Amari Suites. These are essentially two or three-bedroom apartments that would be perfect if you’re on holiday with family or a group of friends. We fell head over heels in love with the décor – the warm tones and the old vintage vibes were right up our alley!
I will perhaps do a separate post in the Decor at Amari Pattaya Suites on my Instagram, so be sure to follow me there 🙂
Not just that, all of the rooms in this wing have a gorgeous ocean view and furnished balconies. Another great advantage of the suites is that the swimming pool and waterpark is only a few steps outside of the rooms, plus there’s a golf cart service available to drive you to and from the Amaya Food Gallery. We are surely going to book one of these for our next long weekend getaway!
Now coming on to the location – the hotel is situated at the northern end of the beach road, it’s not too far away from all the action but at the same time quite tranquil. We usually booked cabs through Grab to go to the attractions such as The Sanctuary of Truth and the Pattaya view point, but you can always just hail the Baht bus at the beach road right outside the hotel to get to nearer areas like the walking street.
We honestly spent most of our time at the hotel itself…The room was so cozy that we didn’t feel like stepping out anywhere. There are more ways to pamper yourself at Amari Pattaya than you can think of, from sipping on a cocktail at the poolside to relishing gourmet food at the Amaya food gallery, but the best place to unwind in an absolute luxurious style is to get yourself some exotic massages at the Breeze Spa.
They have a wide selection of body and facial treatments to choose from. The minute you step foot into the Breeze Spa, you will be welcomed with soothing fragrances and feel instantly relaxed. The extensive menu includes massages, water treatments, beauty therapies and body wraps. If you’re a couple looking for some romantic time and sheer indulgence, go for the luxurious Breeze Suite that comes with a couple massage setup and even a Jacuzzi and steam room!
Last but not the least, what made our stay truly memorable were the people who make Amari such a great place to visit. The Amari staff knows how to make their guests feel special. We would like to specially thank Khun Mook, Khun App, Mr. Indika Jayawardena, Chef Mohan and Khun Woody for making us feel so welcomed.

Sounds like an amazing weekend getaway. I am craving for something like this as well. Room looks so cozy and food so delicious.
Hi Janja,
It was indeed an incredible experience! 🙂
If you’re ever travelling to Thailand, we would highly recommend staying at an Amari property. We have stayed at Amari Watergate in Bangkok as well and the experience was very similar to that at Amari Pattaya. They will go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and at home! Plus, the resorts are so luxurious, you would want to just relax and pamper yourself 🙂
Loved reading this! Bought back fond memories of my time in Phuket and this hotel looks amazing 😍
Hi there Joyce!
So happy to hear that 🙂 we haven’t been to Phuket yet but would definitely visit there next time. Give us your hotel recommendations!
And if you are ever headed to Pattaya we highly recommend you stay at Amari Pattaya.
